Interesting photo. Taken in a forest where many trees are knocked down. Someone has put up a wooden railing and plank that looks to be for keeping anyone from anyone falling into a hole (from artillery shell?). In background there is a wall made up of small stones, and beyond that open plain.
What makes it interesting is on closer inspection, there are multiple German war graves, of different types. Starting at left, a grave with a wood plaque, engraved with name of person buried there, appears to be 'Klein K. Pescoski? (b.) 16.3 1884' The plaque is within a wood tripod with a Maltese cross on top.
There are then a couple of graves with crosses made out of thick tree branches tied together. One has a small metal stake in front of it, at bottom, with ‘575’ on it.
Then there are then a couple of grave markers made out of small wood planks tied together One that is more visible has white paint (?) on it, black Maltese cross on top portion, and text on horizontal arm.
Finally some graves with markers made out of thin tree branches tied together, circular plaques with text attached to them.
